Preparing for BCECE LE 2026 requires a solid understanding of the syllabus, exam pattern, and a disciplined daily practice routine.
To be eligible for the B.Tech Lateral Entry in Bihar, candidates must have passed a minimum 3-year or 2-year (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from a recognized polytechnic or technical institution. Candidates appearing in their final year of the diploma program can also apply provisionally, provided they submit their passing certificate at the time of counselling.
The BCECE LE 2026 exam paper comprises three mandatory subjects, each carrying equal weightage of 50 questions: Mathematics, Engineering Mechanics, and Technical English. The English section is qualifying in nature — you must score a minimum cutoff to ensure your Math and Mechanics papers are evaluated for ranking. The application process for BCECE LE 2026 is entirely online through the official BCECEB portal at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Candidates must register, fill in personal and educational details, upload scanned documents (photo, signature, diploma marksheet), and pay the application fee of ₹2,200 online. The last date to apply is May 7, 2026, and fee payment must be completed by May 8, 2026. A correction window is available from May 10–11, 2026.
